This component adds capabilities of manipulating security settings in PDFs.
PDF Secure COM Component is for ASP, .NET, PHP, Cold Fusion, VB, VC and other language environments. Business communications, for all practical purposes, centers around PDF documents. Any organization has to deal with a large number of these. PDFs have features about setting or removing some security protections to avoid manipulation by third parties. This component adds capabilities of adding or removing these security restrictions to applications you develop. These operations involve the process of password protecting pdf`s, encrypting pdf`s, decrypting existing pdf`s, re-encrypting, changing passwords, adding permissions & changing existing permissions in PDFs. The code package delivered includes examples of ASP, VB, .NET, PHP, Cold Fusion and VC++ source code examples for integrating the component. It just takes a few lines of code. The component works with all the languages that support COM technology.
The process of encrypting the documents includes RC 40, RC 128 encryption processes. The decryption process can use RC 40, RC 128 & AES. This component adds the capability of adding or changing permissions of a given set of documents. The interface presented to the end user when this component is used by your application, is quite easy to use. Batch processing is possible at that level. The output created retains compatibility with whatever version the source document is compatible with. The component is implemented in C++ and works with 64 bits as well as 32 bit versions of the Windows. This is a good product and can be used to implement the PDF encrypt/decrypt functions.
